The fucoidan oligosaccharide (AOS) is derived from the degraded fucoidan polysaccharide and consists of β-d- mannose uronic acid and α-l- gucolonic acid or heterozygous fragments of both. Fucoidan oligosaccharides AOS have a variety of plant activities, which can promote plant root growth, increase plant yield, and alleviate the damage caused by abiotic stresses such as high salt and heavy metals. in this paper, the ability of fucoidan oligosaccharides to improve drought resistance of wheat was preliminarily discussed.
Set up 4 treatment groups: blank control control( leaf surface spraying deionized water), stress treatment group polyethylene glycol-6000(PEG-6000 irrigation root leaf surface spraying deionized water), oligosaccharide treatment group aos (leaf surface spraying 1000 mg/L brown algae oligosaccharide solution), oligosaccharide stress treatment group aos p (root irrigation leaf surface spraying 1000 brown algae oligosaccharide solution)
The seedling length, root length, fresh weight and relative water content increased by 17.9%,26.2%,43.1% and 32.7%, respectively.
Conclusion: fucoidan oligosaccharide aos can increase wheat biomass, promote chlorophyll synthesis in plants, induce accumulation of proline, produce anti-rease, remove oxygen free radicals due to osmotic stress, protect chlorophyll and cell membrane structure, reduce intracellular material leakage, reduce the content mda malondialdehyde, and stabilize the environment inside and outside the cells.
