Disease is an important factor restricting green aquaculture. Especially in the modern intensive farming mode, the treatment of bacterial diseases is mainly through the large-scale use of antibiotics, resulting in increased bacterial resistance and food safety issues. In recent years, adding new green and environmentally friendly immune enhancers to feed to improve the immunity of aquatic animals and enhance disease resistance has become a hot spot in aquaculture research. Chitosan oligosaccharide can be effectively absorbed by the intestinal tract due to its small molecular weight, easy absorption and good water solubility, and is an ideal substitute for antibiotics. Chitosan oligosaccharide has many important biologically active functions, can inhibit the growth of fungi and bacteria, and can be used as antitumor drugs, immune enhancers and food additives.
Tiger dragon spot has the advantages of rapid growth, strong disease resistance and high economic value. It has been widely cultivated in Guangdong, Hainan and other places and has become the leading species of grouper aquaculture. With the continuous improvement of the breeding scale and density, the tiger dragon spot has also suffered from a variety of diseases, so it is of great significance to carry out research on the immunity and disease resistance of the tiger dragon spot. In the experiment, 0 (control group), 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 mg/kg of chitosan oligosaccharide was added to the basic test feed, and 5 kinds of test feeds were prepared and fed to the tiger dragon spot for 4 weeks. Effects of adding chitosan oligosaccharide on the growth, non-specific immunity, intestinal flora diversity and disease resistance of tiger dragon spots.

The results show that chitosan oligosaccharide can significantly increase the weight gain rate and reduce the feed coefficient of grouper, and feeding chitosan oligosaccharide can significantly improve the inflammatory response, especially the addition of 800mg/kg is the most obvious. Originating antioxidant activity inhibits and scavenges the accumulation of excess free radicals in the body, thereby improving antioxidant performance and reducing oxidative stress damage. The abundance of probiotics in the 800 mg/kg group increased, and the β-diversity of bacterial community was significantly different, indicating that chitosan oligosaccharide changed its community composition. After 7 days of Vibrio harvey infection, the cumulative mortality of the 800 mg/kg group was significantly lower than that of the control group and other experimental groups, and the intestinal morphology was significantly improved. Studies have shown that adding an appropriate amount of chitosan oligosaccharide in the feed can promote the growth of tiger and dragon spots, improve immunity, improve intestinal flora and enhance disease resistance.
