The experiment selected 300 meat rabbits (male and female each accounted for 1/2) with similar age [(35±2) days], good health and similar body weight, and randomly divided them into 6 groups, with 5 replicates in each group, and each group had 5 replicates. Repeat for 10 rabbits. The experiment adopted a single-factor completely randomized design. The control groups included blank control group (basal diet), antibiotic control group (basic diet + 20 mg/kg polymyxin E) and 4 COS (chitosan oligosaccharide) groups (basic diet). food + 50, 100, 150 and 200 mg/kg COS). The pre-trial period is 7 days, and the trial period is 35 days.
1) Compared with the blank control group, dietary supplementation of 50, 100 and 150 mg/kg COS could effectively increase the average daily gain (ADG) of meat rabbits (P<0.05); /G) had the best effect; the 50mg/kg COS group had the lowest diarrhea rate.
2) The addition of COS has a better effect on slaughter performance. The whole evisceration weight of meat rabbits in the 150 mg/kg COS group was significantly higher than that in the blank control group (P<0.05); The evisceration rate was significantly increased (P<0.05).
3) Compared with the blank control group, adding COS significantly improved the apparent digestibility of dry matter (DM ), total energy (GE) and crude protein (CP) in meat rabbits (P<0.05), and the effect of 50 mg/kg COS group most.
4) Compared with the antibiotic control group, adding 50mg/kg COS can significantly reduce the content of glucose (GLU), triglyceride (TG) and total cholesterol (TC) in the serum of meat rabbits (P<0.05).
5) Compared with the blank control group and the antibiotic control group, the thymus weight of the meat rabbits in the 50 and 150 mg/kg COS groups was significantly increased (P<0.05); ), immunoglobulin M (Ig M) and complement 4 (C4) were the highest; the 200 mg/kg COS group had the highest serum immunoglobulin A (Ig A).
The addition of COS to the diet can improve the growth performance of meat rabbits by increasing the apparent digestibility of nutrients and their metabolic levels in the body. At the same time, it can improve the immune function of the body by increasing the weight of immune organs and the content of serum immunoglobulins. Under the experimental conditions, the appropriate level of COS addition in the diet was 50-100 mg/kg.
